The new retail store of SIA “LaTS”, opened on December 19 at Hospital Street, 1 in Riga, will be a significant addition to the daily life of the residents in this area, reported SIA “Latvijas Tirgotāju savienība”.
“Until now, the nearest places to purchase everyday goods in this area were about a 20-minute walk away, so the new store can be called a true neighborhood shop. It will allow local residents to conveniently and quickly acquire necessary goods without spending time on a longer journey,” said Kitiya Didjus, the commercial director of the “LaTS” store chain.
The opening of the new store is a targeted step towards improving the accessibility of services specifically in residential areas. “Other places to buy everyday goods in this vicinity are relatively far away, so the new store will be the closest and most convenient solution for local residents,” Didjus noted. This approach aligns with the philosophy of the “LaTS” chain — to be closer to the customer and provide necessary goods for daily life in a friendly environment.
On the opening day, December 19, there was significant interest from customers. Visitors actively took advantage of special opening offers and inquired about seasonal products; however, there was also considerable demand for essential goods — food, beverages, and household items. This confirms that the new store successfully fulfills its primary task — to be a practical and reliable place for daily shopping.
The new “LaTS” store on Hospital Street is not just a retail point, but also an important element of the district's infrastructure, contributing to its development and enhancing convenience for residents. It allows local residents to plan their everyday purchases more efficiently and creates a sense that everything they need is within reach. Given the activity of customers on the very first day, it can be concluded that the store was anticipated and will occupy a solid place in the daily life of the area.
SIA “LaTS” was founded in 2007 with the aim of uniting small and medium-sized food retailers in Latvia, reducing costs, and increasing competitiveness. Currently, the chain comprises about 270 enterprises and has over 700 physical retail locations throughout Latvia.
