Such an emotional post was made on Facebook by a well-known Russifier and deputy of the Riga City Council, reporting on the disgrace at the Zaķīši hotel.
Commentators agree with the problem.
Haris Tomasevskis writes: this is the most dangerous precedent when new migrants start adopting the language of previous migrants, ignoring the language of the indigenous population... I urge a boycott of all such establishments where the owners allow this.

Very bad. They are learning the Latvian language. But when a Russian enters their café, they demonstratively speak English with the Chinese... Moreover, this Chinese man has a Latvian wife. So how is it that he speaks Russian in Cēsis?
