Almost minus 15%: Russians are quickly losing permanent residence permits in Latvia

As of the end of last year, 30,463 citizens of Russia had permanent residence permits in Latvia, which is 14.7% less compared to the end of 2023, according to data from the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs, writes LETA.

As of the end of 2024, there were 218,179 people with permanent residence permits in Latvia.

At the end of last year, such permits were also held by 3,018 citizens of Ukraine, 1,982 citizens of Belarus, and 332 citizens of Israel.

At the same time, 178,960 non-citizens of Latvia also had permanent residence permits as of the end of 2024.
