A woman is quite justifiably outraged: the propaganda of the Riga municipality about the necessity of using public transport and leaving cars at home clearly does not work. According to her: “I can’t calm down — the 18th trolleybus is as full as on weekday mornings! To get from the very end of Stirnu Street to the Daugava Stadium, it takes almost 40 minutes (instead of 10–15) and at least one transfer. Or two. I no longer wanted to watch #StaroRīga — I would have just spat and stayed home. What am I paying taxes for?”

Of course, in Riga, in most cases, alternative public transport routes can be found, but this does not mean that they are convenient for users — this is also agreed upon by commentators under the post: “There are 'other' options everywhere. Which make the trip less convenient. Or completely inconvenient.”

The fact that on weekends, residents of some districts of Riga have no way to go anywhere due to canceled public transport routes is confirmed by others. It turns out that several routes are unavailable in the capital on weekends.
