Nationalist Kulis Felt Open Aggression on the Bus from Russians

Former deputy of the Riga City Council Marcis Kulis, a devoted ally of Liana Langi, published a post on social media stating that he was met with aggression from Russians.

The post was published on Friday, October 17. Kulis writes: "I just experienced open aggression on the bus from 4 Russians for demanding to speak in the state language. Brutal. Thank you, Latvia, for this."

It seems that the former deputy was rudely sent on his way. However, he returned from there out of necessity...

In the comments, he is not too sympathized with:

  • I speak Latvian on public transport in Prague, Tallinn, and Germany, and no one has ever demanded that I speak Czech, Estonian, or German accordingly.

  • There are two spelling mistakes in your short text. Maybe start with yourself?

  • Did you just start demanding that they speak Latvian among themselves in a public setting?

  • A spray can in hand and a folding knife on the belt.

  • Who did they not want to speak Latvian with?

  • Well, they did the right thing, why are you bothering them? A bus is not a government institution where you need to submit papers. Did you also bother the English during football?

  • Is the Russian language prohibited by law?
