In the coming days, rainy weather will persist in Latvia, and no heat is expected, forecasts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
At the end of this week and in the new working week, the sky will often be overcast with clouds that will bring rain to many areas of the country, with thunderstorms also possible in some places. The wind will be predominantly weak, and the air temperature during the day will not rise above +20 degrees.
On Friday, cloudy weather is expected, with only occasional clearings. During the day, the wind will calm down, and the air will warm up to only +15...+19 degrees.
On Saturday and Sunday, the sky will remain cloudy, which will occasionally disperse. Over the weekend, rain is expected in most parts of Latvia, with thunderstorms and heavy downpours possible in some areas. With weak winds persisting, fog may form in some regions on Saturday night and morning.
By the end of the week, nighttime temperatures will range from +7...+12 degrees, while daytime temperatures will warm up to +13...+19 degrees.
In the first half of next week, under the influence of cyclones, the sky will still be covered with clouds, and rain is often expected. Thunderstorms may also occur in some places. The wind will range from weak to moderate.
At the beginning of next week, the air temperature in Latvia will not rise above +20 degrees.
