The upcoming summer season at the Dzintari Concert Hall promises to be brilliant in every respect.

This season for the Dzintari Concert Hall is a jubilee: it turns 90 years old this year. And, judging by what was announced at the recent press conference, it will indeed be hot here regardless of the weather — from performances, from the incredible emotions that artists of various genres will bring to the audience, and of course, from the thunderous applause. However, let's take it step by step.

After a brief speech by the Mayor of Jūrmala, Jānis Lediņš, the board member of the Dzintari Concert Hall, Iveta Grigule-Pēterse, introduced the artists and producers — thanks to whom the guests of Jūrmala will be able to enjoy wonderful concerts. No matter which genre you prefer — opera, ballet, pop or symphonic music, performances by comedians, etc. — the Dzintari Concert Hall will have almost everything this season!

As before, the audience will be able to attend familiar and beloved events — the Jūrmala Festival, the XXVI International Ballet Festival "Valeta zvaigznes Jūrmala", "Rendezvous — invites Laima Vaikule", GALA-GALANTE (invited by Inessa Galante), and many others.

Also, as part of these and other concerts, both familiar performers and those whose art will be a true discovery for the local audience will take the stage at Dzintari. For example, the performance by the theater "TEATRO DELUSIO" from Germany will be such a revelation — a unique witty show for the whole family, where the artists can joke without a single word, create such vivid images and atmosphere that the good mood will last long after the concert. Moreover, according to producer Diana Galante, the organizers decided to make attending this concert as cost-effective as possible: buy one ticket, and you will get the second one for free...

And speaking of free: this season there will be several concerts with absolutely free admission. Thus, on June 11, you can attend the free concert of school choirs "Tik dzintars vien", on June 21 — the pre-holiday event "Līgo saule, Līgo jūra", and on July 12 at 4:30 AM — the "Concert at Dawn"...

Opera lovers will be able to attend the qualifying rounds of the International Competition for Young Opera Singers named after Hans Gabor "Belvedere" in the Small Hall of the Dzintari Concert Hall: from June 2 to 5, admission will also be free, tickets will only be sold for the final on June 7.

Very soon, on May 29, the Dzintari Concert Hall will mark the opening of the season with a grand concert featuring two choirs — AVE SOL and Choir Kamēr…, an orchestra conducted by conductor Aivis Greters, as well as soloists - Kristīne Balana (violin), Margarita Balana (cello), Ilze Grevele-Skarāne (soprano), and Rihards Millers (baritone). The program will feature works by Johannes Brahms, Pēteris Barisons, and Jēkabs Jančevskis. And then — we will keep an eye on the schedule!
