Katy Perry's representatives categorically responded to Ruby Rose's shocking statements, calling them "dangerous, reckless lies."
Popular singer Katy Perry has issued a statement regarding serious allegations of sexual harassment made against her by "Orange Is the New Black" star Ruby Rose. Her official representatives categorically labeled these accusations as "dangerous, reckless lies." "The allegations made by Ruby Rose against Katy Perry on social media are not only categorically false but also represent dangerous, reckless lies," the publication Page Six quoted them as saying.
The scandal erupted on April 12, when actress Ruby Rose publicly claimed that Katy Perry had harassed her and engaged in sexual acts 20 years ago. "Katy Perry harassed me at the Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne. Who cares what she thinks after that?" Rose wrote on social media. She then shockingly detailed the incident that occurred two decades ago: "I didn’t want to interact with Katy. But she saw me sleeping on my best friend’s lap, took off her underwear, and started rubbing her genitals against me until I woke up and vomited on her like a fountain."

According to Ruby, after this unpleasant incident, Perry allegedly helped her obtain an American visa to cover up what happened, which became the reason for her long silence. However, now Rose claims she is ready to bring everything to light: the actress has already contacted the police, although the statute of limitations for such incidents has long expired. In response, Katy Perry's team presents their version, suggesting that such "confessions" from Ruby Rose are merely an attempt to attract attention: "Ms. Rose has an extensive history of public accusations on social media against various individuals, which have repeatedly been denied by those she named."

It is worth noting that in 2025, Katy Perry broke up with famous actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she has a daughter, Daisy Dove. However, the singer did not remain alone for long: in the same year, news emerged about her romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was reportedly introduced to her by Lauren Sanchez, the wife of billionaire Jeff Bezos.
Meanwhile, Ruby Rose, a well-known Australian actress, openly declares her homosexuality. She is known for her roles in films and series such as "Orange Is the New Black" and "John Wick 2." Rose also participated in the filming of the series "Batwoman," but she had to leave the project after the first season due to "numerous complaints" about her behavior on set.
