The former spouse of popular blogger Lerchek, Artyom Chekalin, spoke openly for the first time about how their children are coping with the terrible news of Valeria's serious oncological disease. These revelations appeared in the Telegram channel Shot, and they left no one indifferent.

According to Artyom, the situation is extremely difficult for the little ones. "Valeria is constantly in the hospital. The children, of course, are struggling. To be honest, there are times when they cry, they are worried — especially our daughter. She says, 'Dad, is mom dying?' When she first said that to me, I teared up myself. Because all of this is hard," Artyom shared with a tremor in his voice. During their marriage, Lerchek and Chekalin had three children: eleven-year-old twins Alisa and Bogdan, and three-year-old Lev. The couple officially divorced in July 2024. Earlier, Artyom had already emphasized that his ex-wife is in dire need of financial support both for treatment and for providing for the family.

A Heavy Diagnosis and the Fight for Life

The public learned about the terrible diagnosis of Valeria Chekalina, known as Lerchek, in early March 2026. Immediately after the birth of their fourth son, she was rushed to intensive care. There, doctors diagnosed her with stage IV stomach cancer, accompanied by metastases that affected her lungs, spine, and legs. Valeria is currently undergoing an intensive course of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at a state oncology center, desperately fighting for her life.

Business Amidst Illness and Questions About the Diagnosis

Despite her critical health condition, Lerchek announced the launch of a completely new business project — her own line of skincare cosmetics — at the end of March. The company was registered by the blogger's mother, while Valeria actively participated in the launch process while under house arrest. The blogger's fiancé and father of her youngest child, Argentine Luis Squicciarini, confirmed that even under such challenging circumstances, she showed remarkable involvement in creating the brand. This news, along with information circulating online that Valeria was allegedly seen at an elite fitness club, only fueled doubts among those questioning the reality of her diagnosis.
