"Work Hard!" Billionaire Calls for 'Getting Together' and Working Six Days a Week for 12 Hours

Dollar billionaire and oligarch Deripaska called for a six-day workweek of 12 hours in Russia, stating that "it's not the time to relax."

In Russia, there is a desire to change the standard work schedule. According to the initiative, Russians should work six days a week for 12 hours. This opinion was shared by billionaire Oleg Deripaska.

As the entrepreneur explained, Russia is undergoing a difficult transformation from global opportunities to regional ones with many restrictions. At the same time, the country has limited resources, and to be precise, the only significant resource is the ability to gather and work even harder in tough times.

"And the sooner we switch to this new schedule — from eight to eight, including Saturday — the faster we will go through this transformation," the billionaire urged.

Deripaska knows several dozen people who started living by this schedule back in the 1990s, and now "it will be easier for them than for others." However, he did not specify what they did and are doing now, nor how their health is after such a schedule. But, "the world has become different not only for Russia," and solving its problems through easing monetary policy and weakening the ruble will no longer work, the billionaire stated. He included in the list of problems the "destruction by the security forces of the legal institutions that, like a foundation, supported investments in the Russian economy," but clarified that this is only part of the problem.
