Эти восточные барышни знают толк в здоровом питании.

In their culture, it is not customary to overeat.

Japanese and Korean women have always served as examples in the pursuit of slimness. Their secret lies in balanced diets. Important: before transitioning to a new diet, consult your doctor.

How and What Japanese Women Eat

Japanese women do not like to fry things in oil, preferring boiling or baking (and often eat something raw – even fish). Moderate portions also allow Japanese women to control their calorie intake. At a Japanese table, you are more likely to be served 10 small dishes rather than one large one. Thus, slowly tasting one portion after another (and doing so with chopsticks) will surely make you eat more slowly, and therefore, more mindfully.

Rice and Fish

The foundation of the Japanese diet is fish and rice – an ideal combination of fats and carbohydrates. Rice provides energy and helps replace the bread we are used to with complex carbohydrates. Fish complements the diet with protein and healthy fats (for example, omega-3 for shiny hair and smooth skin).

Japanese people pay great attention to the feeling of fullness; in their culture, it is not customary to overeat. They even have a rule called hara hachi bun me, which can be translated as "eat until you are 80% full."

Soy

A great pair for wakame is fermented soy products, such as tofu and miso. By adding them to your dishes, you can "feel full" faster, meaning you will eat much less than before.

Seaweed

You have probably tried nori when eating sushi. However, Asian women do not stop there. Japanese women also often eat wakame (seaweed from the Pacific Ocean), which is considered a superfood. This is because wakame is not only a low-calorie snack but also a product that helps speed up metabolism. It can be added to salads or miso soup.

How and What Korean Women Eat

Japanese and Korean women start their day with a hearty breakfast. It usually includes rice, miso soup, and soybeans.

Vegetables and Kimchi

Dozens of traditional vegetable dishes are the main salvation for Korean women. For example, bibimbap consists of rice with meat and a raw egg and a whole variety of vegetables: carrots, cucumber, seaweed, spinach, soybean sprouts, mushrooms… In short, you get the idea. With such a quantity of fiber, there will be no room for dessert.

Another secret is the daily consumption of kimchi. This spicy fermented cabbage is rich in vitamins and probiotics. According to Korean legends, it is this ingredient that helps Korean women maintain their youth.

Asians consume complex carbohydrates – a lot of rice and other grain products. This helps them prolong the feeling of fullness.

Herbal Teas

Unlike Chinese or Japanese women, Korean women prefer herbal teas made from aralia leaves, mint, and mulberry. The most popular is buckwheat tea (often sold as "chocolate-flavored tea"). And if herbal tea is not available, some drink green tea with brown rice. It is also considered an antioxidant drink for maintaining beauty.
