Normunds does not hide it — after his driver's license was revoked, he mainly travels by public transport, while his wife or daughter drives the car. He also walks and rides a bicycle.
Two months ago, Normunds Rutulis found himself in serious trouble — while under the influence of alcohol, he caused a traffic accident (details and video here>>). He deeply regretted this act. And he now admits that the first weeks after the incident were emotionally difficult.
"I was to blame myself. I was so ashamed that I just wanted to disappear. A week after the incident, it was very hard for me to perform in front of an audience at the Erberge estate," he says.
What happened was a harsh lesson for him, which made him pay more attention to his lifestyle and health: "I do not consume alcohol and sleep much better. I have already realized this before. From time to time, I had long periods when I did not drink alcohol at all. Now I regularly exercise to strengthen my muscles."
