Nutritionist: to avoid distraction, pensioners and everyone wishing to do so in the fall should eat mackerel!
To get rid of distraction and fatigue in the fall, it is necessary to include several affordable products in the diet, advised nutritionist and therapist Elena Manovska.
"To maintain mental clarity and good memory in the fall, it is important to provide the brain with omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, magnesium, and antioxidants," Manovska explained. She recommended adding omega-3-rich fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, or sardines to the menu more often. No less beneficial, according to the doctor, are walnuts, almonds, and flaxseeds: they are high in magnesium and vitamin E, which protect brain cells from oxidative stress.
Manovska also recommended that Russians eat spinach, arugula, and other leafy vegetables more often, which will help provide the body with folic acid and B vitamins. As a source of flavonoids—antioxidants that improve blood flow and cognitive functions—blueberries, bilberries, and cranberries are suitable.
Finally, she advised complementing the autumn diet with a small amount of dark chocolate with a high cocoa content. The substances contained in this treat gently stimulate the nervous system and help with concentration.
