Registration has opened in Riga for free acting classes for citizens of non-EU countries as well as for local residents. The organizers hope that theater will help people from different cultures meet, find new contacts, and feel part of the community.

Residents of Latvia are invited to participate in a free acting program that will start in Riga this June. The classes are designed for both citizens of third countries living in Latvia and members of the local community.

The project aims to promote intercultural communication and create new connections between people of different nationalities through collaborative creative activities. The organizers believe that theater can serve as a convenient platform for dialogue, cooperation, and more active participation in public life.

Participants will not need any theatrical education or stage performance experience. The program is aimed at beginners and includes the basics of acting, improvisation, stage speech, and teamwork exercises.

In addition to classes, participants will have the opportunity to take part in performances, festivals, and other cultural events in the city. Thus, the project offers not only education but also a chance to engage in the creative life of Riga.

What is important to know: participation is completely free. Citizens of Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan, and other non-EU countries can join. At the same time, the organizers invite local residents interested in communication and joint creative projects.

Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the premises of the Riga Independent Theater. The first class is scheduled for June 9.

The program is designed for a long period and will last until August 2028. It is part of the project "Cultural Bridges: From the Other to One's Own," implemented by the public organization "Platform for Cooperation."

The organizers hope that through collaborative creative activities, participants will not only acquire new skills but also find friends, like-minded individuals, and feel more confident in society.
