Today in the capital of Austria, Vienna, the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place, featuring the representative of Latvia Atvara with the song "Ēnā" ("Shadow").
The Latvian singer will take the stage in the ninth position. Alongside her, representatives from Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Romania, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Armenia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Denmark, Australia, Ukraine, Albania, Malta, and Norway will participate in the second semifinal.
The final of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Saturday. Without participating in the semifinals, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany are guaranteed a place in the final, as they contribute the most financially to the organization of the contest, as well as Austria, as it is the winner of last year.
Fifteen performers participated in the first semifinal, and representatives from Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Greece, Israel, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, and Sweden advanced to the final.
