If the weather is not pleasing, it's the perfect time to arrange a home movie marathon. We have gathered three series that can draw you in from the first minutes and not let go until the final credits.

“Devil May Cry”

The new anime project from Netflix tells the story of Dante — a charismatic demon hunter who embodies both human and demonic nature. He runs the Devil May Cry agency and takes on the most dangerous assignments, exterminating the evil that penetrates the world of humans.

A key plot line is the confrontation between Dante and his twin brother Vergil. Vergil seeks to seize the power of their father — the demon Sparda, which ignites a fierce conflict between the brothers. Dante himself struggles with his own identity: despite his demonic power, he retains a human heart, making the internal struggle one of the main themes of the series.

“Nemesis”

The Dutch political-legal thriller transports viewers into a world of financial machinations, corruption, and offshore schemes. The main character is state prosecutor Sylvia van Maer, specializing in economic crimes.

After an unpleasant incident in her personal life, she begins investigating the activities of a network of shell companies and uncovers representatives of the elite for whom money and influence have long surpassed the law.

The creators of the series show how tax structures operate, where vast fortunes disappear, and why loopholes appear in legislation that influential people exploit.

The title of the project refers to the ancient Greek goddess of retribution, Nemesis. This image symbolizes the journey of the main character, who seeks not only to achieve justice but also to punish those who are used to resolving issues with dirty money. However, over time, she realizes that corruption lurks not only outside the system but also within the law enforcement agencies and the government itself.

“Severance”

This series maintains tension in almost every scene. The plot centers around Lumon Industries, a corporation whose employees undergo a memory-severing procedure using a special chip.

After this, a person develops two separate identities. The “Work Self” completely forgets about personal life as soon as the employee enters the office, while the “Home Self” remembers nothing of the workday events after leaving the building.

The main character, Mark, played by Adam Scott, voluntarily agrees to the experiment, trying to temporarily escape from heavy emotions and personal tragedy. But soon he begins to understand that the corporation's management is hiding something much more dangerous from the employees.

The series raises questions about the boundary between work and personal life, turning the office space into a symbol of a psychological trap. White corridors, endless rooms, and 80s-style technology create an atmosphere of unsettling yet mesmerizing surrealism.

...In the editors' opinion, such series are best suited for rainy evenings: they help distract from the everyday and fully immerse you in unusual worlds. Each of these projects offers not only an engaging plot but also themes that provoke thought long after viewing.
