During the May holidays, excursions in Latvian will take place at the Pakruojis Manor

The long May holidays are a great opportunity to visit Pakruojis Manor, where the fifth anniversary festival of tulips and spring flowers "Renaissance" is currently taking place. This year, a special program has been prepared in honor of Latvia's national holidays - on May 4 at 13:30 and 15:00, excursions in Latvian will be held at the manor. Meanwhile, on May 3, when Mother's Day is celebrated in Lithuania, festival visitors will enjoy a concert of cellos "Melodies of Tenderness for Mom" in the White Hall of the manor.

During the festival, everyone will not only be able to enjoy floral exhibitions but also feel the atmosphere of noble life. Visitors will have the opportunity to try on aristocratic costumes, take a ride in a vintage car or carriage, and participate in the process of creating a painting inspired by the Renaissance era alongside a professional artist. On the Island of Love, one can capture themselves in a special installation "The Birth of Venus," and in the largest open flower shop, purchase plants and take a piece of the festival home with them.

The program also includes educational and creative activities - the chance to get acquainted with the first Lithuanian book, see a steam engine, a printing press, and antique agricultural machinery, as well as try on Leonardo da Vinci's wings.

For families with children, a particularly rich program has been prepared: creative workshops, making flower crowns, master classes on creating windmills, and meeting the manor's animals - a donkey, horses, goats, and sheep. For the youngest visitors, there is a playground with a carousel, a Flower Castle, and various attractions.

Thrill-seekers can explore the darker side of the manor's history in the Punishment Cellar and the Panopticon, as well as discover authentic flavors with the manor's brewer.

The flowering season at the manor begins with early spring flowers - anemones, scillas, muscari, hyacinths, and daffodils, and later the park is filled with hundreds of varieties of tulips, creating a constantly changing panorama of colors. Every year, the festival also showcases new, previously unseen varieties of tulips.

As noted by the author of the floral compositions, Kristina Ivanchenco, while Dutch flower festivals were a source of inspiration for Pakruojis Manor for a long time, the manor has now become an independent trendsetter in the world of spring flowers.
