The program of the 79th Cannes Film Festival has been announced

The program of the 79th Cannes Film Festival has been announced. It will take place from May 12 to 23. This year, the chairman is director Park Chan-wook.

The main competition will feature "Minotaur" (Andrey Zvyagintsev), "1949" (Pawel Pawlikowski), Moulin (László Nemes), Histoire de la nuit (Léa Mysius), "Electric Venus" (Pierre Salvadori), "Parallel Stories" (Asghar Farhadi), "My Love" (Rodrigo Sorogoyen), Bitter Christmas (Pedro Almodóvar), The Man I Love (Ira Sachs), Fjord (Cristian Mungiu), Notre salut (Emmanuel Marr), Gentle Monster (Marie Kreutzer), Nagi Notes (Koji Fukada), Hope (Na Hong-jin), Sheep in the Box (Hirokazu Kore-eda), Garance (Jeanne Herry), The Unknown (Arthur Arari), A Woman’s Life (Sharlene Bourgeois-Tak), Sudden (Ryusuke Hamaguchi), The Dreamed Adventure (Valeska Grisebach), Coward (Lukas Dhont), and The Black Ball (Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo).

The honorary "Golden Palm Branch" will be awarded to "The Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson and actress Barbra Streisand.
