Easter Events for Families with Children at the House of the Blackheads

The House of the Blackheads invites families with children to join in an exciting Easter egg hunt during the Easter holidays.

As part of the educational trip "In the Footsteps of the Bunny," children at the House of the Blackheads will help the Easter Bunny find the eggs lost in the house, for which they will receive prizes from the toy store. The egg hunt "In the Footsteps of the Bunny" will take place at the House of the Blackheads on April 5 and 6 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In addition to entertainment, on both days, visitors can play various large-scale games from the company "BigGames."

"The House of the Blackheads has always been a place for celebrations and gatherings. For Easter, we want to offer this special atmosphere to families with children, creating an opportunity to celebrate the holiday in a historic and inspiring setting," said Linda Lukina-Kalda, manager of the House of the Blackheads.

This event is designed for the whole family and provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about the rich history of the House of the Blackheads. While the children search for eggs, adults can leisurely enjoy coffee in an exquisite setting and explore the medieval cellars, historic offices, magnificent halls, and unique collection of silver. An even more informative option will be the audio guide, which will allow you to tour the rooms of the House of the Blackheads accompanied by the historical character Johann Brenner, who will share stories about his life here, his adventures and legends, the twists and turns of the history of the House of the Blackheads, and the secrets from the 14th century to the present day.

Participation in the Easter egg hunt is free; you only need to purchase an entrance ticket to the House of the Blackheads. Admission to the House of the Blackheads is free for preschool-aged children.

The House of the Blackheads was built in 1334 as part of the ensemble of the Riga Town Hall Square. It is located in the heart of Old Riga and is a hallmark of the city, as well as one of the most important venues for celebrations and cultural events. For centuries, the House of the Blackheads has served as the central representative house of the city for hosting high-ranking guests.
