The upcoming HBO series based on J.K. Rowling's books will reveal new facets of the 'Harry Potter' universe, with a particular focus on Draco Malfoy and his family. According to 14-year-old Lox Pratt, who plays young Malfoy, viewers will see the family's domestic life as early as the first season, which was not shown in the books until the final novel.
"In this adaptation, you will see many more details than in the books," noted Pratt. "You will see all the teachers in their classrooms, as well as Draco at home. There are scenes that show what he is really like."
Lox Pratt also praised the atmosphere on set and the performance of his on-screen father, Johnny Flynn, highlighting their harmonious interaction on screen.
J.B. Perrett, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery for global streaming, emphasized the scale and thoroughness of the series, stating that the project will allow for a deeper immersion into the franchise's universe and will be the major streaming event of the decade.
The series is expected to premiere in 2027.
