Riga Zoo invites you to name the capybara pups: five babies — three males and two females.
Riga Zoo invites you to visit one of the zoo's social media pages and leave your name suggestions for the capybara pups in the comments. Ideas are accepted until January 31.
When choosing names, zoo staff recommend letting your imagination run wild or drawing inspiration from the capybaras' homeland — South America. You can also choose names that correspond to the names of three adult capybaras currently living at the zoo: Oscar, Tindra, and Truse.
It was previously reported that in September of last year, one of the capybaras residing at Riga Zoo gave birth to a pup, and just a few weeks later, four more joined it. In less than a month, the number of capybaras at the zoo increased from three to eight.
