Disney has launched an online portal 'How We Do It', which showcases how the studio creates animated films through examples from 'Zootopia 2', 'Moana', and 'Frozen'.

The resource describes and showcases the key stages of production: the birth of an idea, the creation of concept art for characters and locations, scriptwriting, voice recording, scene animation, post-production, and more. For example, 'Zootopia 2' consists of 41 episodes, each lasting from 37 seconds to 6 minutes.

Hundreds of specialists work on all projects: screenwriters, artists, animators, producers, editors, and technologists. During the preparatory phase and throughout production, participants attend lectures and workshops on filmmaking, art, and storytelling. Artists and directors also actively refer to the Walt Disney Animation archive, which houses over 65 million materials.

The website pays special attention to the technologies that underpin production. The collaboration between artists and engineers allows for quick changes to projects and safe management of vast amounts of data at all stages: from creating 3D models to rendering.
