On December 27, the first concert “This is How the Wheel of Life Turns!” will take place at the VEF Cultural Palace, featuring popular singers and actors Elina Vane, Erika Egliya-Gravele, Gints Gravelis, Imants Strads, and Artis Robeznieks. The musical accompaniment for the concerts will be provided by a group of musicians led by Valdis Zilver. Festive concerts will also take place in Marupe, Kuldiga, and Cesis.
“Let’s recall the events and people of the past year with positive memories, and let’s spend 2025 with familiar songs, humor, and joy,” the concert organizers invite, announcing that the concerts will feature songs by Maestro Raimonds Pauls such as “Romance of Christmas,” “Kerry's Song,” “Old Waverly” from the series “Sherlock Holmes,” “This is How the Wheel of Life Turns,” “Disneyland,” “Cinderella,” and other well-known and beloved compositions.
Inviting everyone to the concerts, theater actor Imants Strads says: “In the short week after Christmas and before the New Year, we will warm your hearts with a program in which everyone will find something for themselves – both melancholy and laughter, seriousness and light-heartedness, and sweet, perhaps a little forgotten, but no less beautiful songs!” Erika Egliya-Gravele adds: “This will be a wonderful opportunity to bid farewell to the old year and happily welcome the new one in great company, with light humor about life and songs by beloved Latvian composers!”
