Who are the natural enemies of cockroaches?

Yes, there are quite a few of them.

Among the natural enemies of cockroaches is a specialized predator — the emerald cockroach wasp, whose sting turns the insect into a "zombie," stripped of its will. The wasp grabs the cockroach by its antennae and leads it to its burrow, where its larvae will develop.

Additionally, cockroaches are preyed upon by various amphibians and reptiles, birds and rodents, hedgehogs, moles, small primates, as well as predatory insects and arachnids. This is quite natural, as cockroaches are large insects that fly poorly and lack any means of defense.

In regions with a temperate climate, cockroaches have found refuge in human dwellings, where their main enemies have become only large spiders. In the first half of the 20th century in Russia, it was popular to keep small birds in homes during winter. Tits, which were released to fly around the rooms, successfully hunted cockroaches, catching them from cracks and the space behind the wallpaper.
