“In modern society, there is a significant demand for unconditional love, which people cannot realize in relationships with others, even with close relatives such as parents. This is why they decide to get a dog. This animal will love its owner unconditionally. It will never think that the conditions of life for the dog from the neighboring entrance are better. A dog will not evaluate its owner's behavior as healthy or unhealthy. It has a social need to give itself and receive our attention in return. This is what drives people to the decision to get a dog,” he noted.
Before getting a dog, the expert recommends studying the characteristics of the breed. “It is important to understand how one breed differs from another. What kind of dog the future owner will get by acquiring an animal from a particular kennel. Even in one litter, 10 completely different puppies can be born. They will differ in character, organization of the nervous system, and intellectual abilities,” added the dog expert.
After studying the breed characteristics, attention should be paid to one's lifestyle. Is the future owner ready to spend a lot of time outdoors with the pet, or does he need a calm companion?
Once the puppy has already appeared in the family, it is necessary to engage in its upbringing. Active work with the dog continues until the age of two. After reaching this age, the owner is dealing with an adult dog. The ideal owner should show patience in the upbringing process. “Raising a dog is a very important aspect. It is a kind of test on how to raise a child,” emphasized the expert.
