Like everything, from food.
Carbohydrates, or sugars, are essential for every organism as they represent the most convenient source of energy for cells.
In nature, carbohydrates are mainly found in fruits, seeds, and some other parts of plants that are not food for predators.
However, carbohydrates are present in the tissues of all living beings, so predators obtain them through the meat they consume. Additionally, fats and proteins (specifically, the amino acids that make up proteins) can be converted into carbohydrates.
