Crows hold grudges for years and pass information about them to their descendants

Research shows that crows are capable of long-term memory of negative experiences and can express dislike towards a person even many years later.

John Marzluff's experiment from the University of Washington involved capturing crows for banding while wearing a grotesque mask, after which he released the birds. Later, all the crows in the area began to react aggressively to any person wearing the same mask, even if they themselves had never been in the hands of the researchers.

Crows actively share information with each other and have a good memory for human faces, which allows collective "grudges" to be maintained for a very long time. This underscores how complex their social connections are and their abilities for long-term memory.

Conclusion: it is better not to provoke these intelligent birds.
