There is an opinion that an incorrect sleeping position can lead to spinal curvature...
This is indeed the case, and according to British sleep specialist James Leinhardt, most people sleep incorrectly, which negatively affects the condition of their spine.
The expert claims that the most beneficial sleeping position is on the side with arms and legs slightly bent. Although 70-80% of people prefer to sleep on their side, many of them are in a twisted position with their legs extended, which leads to spinal curvature. Over time, this can negatively impact posture.
Sleeping on the back is also considered a good position, but in this case, it is recommended to place a pillow under the knees. The worst position, according to James Leinhardt, is sleeping on the stomach, as this creates significant strain on the neck.
