During an operational investigation, law enforcement authorities discovered a substance consisting of fragments of mushrooms at the man's residence, which were sent for forensic examination.

According to the victim, the day before, he had consumed a tincture made from amanitas. He and his 57-year-old mother had been using these mushrooms for health purposes over the past few months. However, as the man noted, at some point he added more amanitas to the tincture than usual. He drank about 150-200 ml of the tincture and soon felt unwell. His mother called an ambulance.

Mycologists emphasize that only a few species of amanitas are edible. Their species can only be identified by specialists, so to avoid mistakes, it is better not to consume amanitas at all.
