Auto mechanic Igor KRAINOV warns that windshield wipers should not be left in an upright position overnight.
Regularly keeping the levers in this position can lead to the weakening of the springs, which, in turn, will negatively affect their performance: the pressure against the glass will worsen, impacting the effectiveness of the blades.
As an alternative solution, you can turn the wipers 180 degrees if the car's design allows it.
If this option is not possible, you can place laminated cardboard under the wipers or wrap them in thick polyethylene for the night.
