Young white cabbage steak can serve as an interesting side dish or a delicious standalone meal.

 

Cooking cabbage steak does not require special skills, but this treat will surely surprise guests at the festive table.

The key component of this dish, besides cabbage, is the spices. It is recommended to use favorite seasonings such as oregano, turmeric, thyme, and others. Be sure to add dried garlic, paprika, and pepper.

You will also need butter and olive oil, and a little cheese will give the dish a special flavor.

For the steak, it is better to choose a small head of cabbage. Cut it into rounds about 1.5-2 cm thick.

Place the rounds in a baking dish and brush them with a mixture of 4 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and spices. On each cabbage round, place a few pieces of butter, according to your taste.

Place the steaks in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 25 minutes. Then take them out, sprinkle with 100 grams of grated hard cheese, and bake for another 10 minutes.

This dish pairs well with a sauce made from sour cream or mayonnaise.
