Green onions grow abundantly in the gardens of even the most unsuccessful gardeners, and when there is plenty of it fresh, culinary delicacies with onions appear on the table.
One of these delicacies is layered onion bread that can be cooked in a skillet.
For preparation you will need:
wheat flour - 300 g;
salt - 1 pinch;
sugar - 1 tsp;
yeast (dry) - 1 tsp;
water - 200 ml;
vegetable oil - 1 tbsp;
green onions - 1 bunch.
How to cook
Sift the flour into a bowl, add the yeast, and mix.
Dissolve the salt and sugar in warm water, then pour it into the bowl with the flour and add the vegetable oil.
Knead the dough, cover the bowl with a towel, and let it sit for 40 minutes. After it rises, punch down the dough.
Roll out the dough into a layer no thicker than 1 centimeter, brush with vegetable oil, and divide into three parts.
On one part, place finely chopped green onions, top with a second layer of dough, sprinkle with onions again, and cover with a third layer.
Sprinkle with onions again and fold the entire structure in half.
Flatten the finished mass into a cake and place it in a skillet or baking dish. Optionally, you can sprinkle seeds or sesame on top.
In a skillet, fry the cake for 7-10 minutes on each side.
Bake in the oven at 170 degrees for 20 minutes.
