Potato zrazy is exactly the dish that is easy to prepare from accessible ingredients. This recipe allows you to make zrazy for both everyday meals and festive occasions.
The filling consists of chicken fillet, but you can add some mushrooms. You can also make the filling exclusively from mushrooms or add grated cheese.
Potato zrazy can be either fried or baked, and baking is the best option as it does not require extra oil.
Ingredients:
1-1.5 kg of potatoes;
1 egg for greasing;
1 egg for the potato dough;
3 tbsp of flour;
salt, pepper;
bread crumbs.
For the filling:
500-600 g of chicken fillet;
1-2 onions;
oil, salt, pepper, and other spices;
mushrooms if desired.
Preparation:
1. First, boil the potatoes. When it boils, add salt and cook until ready. Meanwhile, prepare the filling.
Cut the chicken fillet into pieces and fry it in vegetable oil. At the end, add the chopped onion and continue frying.
2. You can add some fried mushrooms to the filling: wild, oyster, or champignon. You can also add grated cheese.
3. Mash the boiled potatoes into a puree. When it cools slightly, add the egg, flour, salt, and pepper. Form round patties from the potato dough, place the filling inside, and seal the zrazy. To prevent the potatoes from sticking, wet your hands with water. Roll the zrazy in bread crumbs.
4. Place the zrazy on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, grease the top with egg, and bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. Serve with sour cream or mushroom sauce.
