The dietitian spoke about the benefits of spinach and suggested recipes for dishes with it
The benefits of spinach and ways to prepare it
Among the variety of leafy vegetables, spinach stands out particularly. It is even called the "vegetable of kings," which is not accidental. According to dietitian Marina Sorokina, spinach is rich in many beneficial substances, including:
* vitamin A
* vitamin C
* vitamin B9 (folic acid)
* vitamin K
* iron
* calcium
* magnesium and others.
In addition, spinach contains a large amount of antioxidants that actively combat chronic diseases, skin aging, and cancer.
An ideal product for young women
The dietitian also notes that spinach is especially beneficial for young women planning pregnancy. Due to its high folic acid content, the likelihood of successful conception increases twofold.
Moreover, this micronutrient contributes to the proper development of the future child in the mother's womb.
- There are scientific studies confirming that folic acid significantly reduces the risk of congenital defects of the brain and spinal cord in newborns, - emphasizes dietitian Sorokina.
