Seafood and Broccoli Casserole – Simple and Delicious

Casserole is a light and quick-to-prepare dish that has many variations in different cuisines around the world. The secret lies in the fact that regardless of the type of dish (fruit, vegetable, meat, fish, pasta, or cheese), the cooking process remains almost the same: you need to mix the ingredients with a binding component and bake in the oven.

 

Interestingly, casseroles are often made from leftover ingredients. For example, a popular casserole is made with pasta and tomato-meat sauce. There is an opinion that this dish originated when a hostess cooked too much pasta, and the family grew tired of monotony, prompting her to find a way out of the situation.

Today we want to offer you a more interesting option – a seafood and broccoli casserole, which will take you no more than half an hour to prepare. It’s a great option for dinner.

Ingredients:

seafood mix – 500 g;
broccoli – 400 g;
chicken eggs – 2 pcs.;
milk – 100 ml;
hard cheese – 100 g;
olive oil – 3 tbsp.;
pepper;
salt.

In a deep bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and spices. Grate the hard cheese (it’s best to use Parmesan, but any other will do) on a fine grater and add half to the egg-milk mixture. Cut the broccoli into small pieces so that it cooks faster, so it’s better to use fresh cabbage. Combine the thawed seafood mix and broccoli with the egg-milk mixture, then transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Place the dish in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

The finished dish can be garnished with herbs when serving. Dried parsley would be a great choice.
