Squid meat is referred to as the “balsam for the heart,” as it contains a lot of potassium, just like most seafood. This trace element is extremely important for the functioning of the heart muscle. Additionally, squid is rich in iodine — a necessary regulator of thyroid function, and therefore, of the entire hormonal system of the body.

To prepare squid salad with green peas, you will need the following ingredients:

250 grams of canned squid
150 grams of pickled cucumbers
300 grams of boiled potatoes
100 grams of apples
100 grams of pitted olives
3 hard-boiled eggs
400 grams of canned peas
Green onion
Mayonnaise or your favorite dressing
Salt and pepper to taste

The next step is to grate the potatoes and apples on a coarse grater. Cut the squid and cucumbers into strips. Also, finely chop the olives and eggs. Mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl. Then, pour your favorite dressing or mayonnaise over the salad, add salt and pepper to taste, and place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Before serving, sprinkle the salad with chopped green onions. Enjoy your meal!
