Fish Nest Appetizer Based on Baguette - A Simple and Delicious Dish (VIDEO)

The recipe for fish nests, which uses a baguette or loaf, is one of the simplest ways to prepare a baked fish appetizer.

 

This appetizer is very filling and tasty, suitable for both hot and cold serving. Additionally, it makes a great option for breakfast. The preparation time does not exceed 25 minutes. In this recipe, we use fillet of any fish, but it can be successfully replaced with meat, sausage, or mushrooms — the result will also be very filling and delicious!

Ingredients:

fish fillet — 500 g
baguette or loaf — 1 pc
onion — 200 g
milk — 500 ml
hard cheese — 150 g
mayonnaise — to taste
salt, pepper — to taste

Preparation:

1. Finely chop the fish. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

2. Also finely chop the onion. Mix the fish with the onion, adding salt and pepper to taste.

3. Cut the loaf into pieces 2 cm thick.

4. Soak the pieces of loaf in milk and gently squeeze them out.

5. Grease a baking dish with oil and arrange the pieces. Make an indentation in each piece by simply pressing the crumb with your hands.

6. Fill the indentations with the fish and onion mixture. Brush with mayonnaise or sour cream. Place in the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

After that, sprinkle with cheese and return to the oven for another 5-7 minutes.
