Residents of an apartment building on Kurzemes Avenue claim that after a year of calm, they are once again facing serious problems. According to them, outsiders regularly appear in one of the stairwells, and what is happening may be related to illegal drug trafficking.

In recent days, residents have noticed new alarming signs. The doors in the stairwell have been broken, there are traces of blood on the landing and in the elevator, and one of the windows of the building has been shattered. According to local residents, all these events may be interconnected.

Neighbors report that they have been experiencing problems for several years due to the tenants of one of the apartments and their visitors. One resident claims that there have been previous incidents in the building related to drug trafficking.

According to him, one of the men whom neighbors associate with this environment recently attempted to enter the apartment by breaking down the door.

"Around four in the morning, he was asking for help to open the door and said he had lost his keys," one of the neighbors told the show Degpunktā (TV3).

Other residents clarify that the door handle had been torn off, so the man was unable to get inside.

People are particularly alarmed by the constant appearance of outsiders. One resident claims that a stash for drugs is allegedly set up in the stairwell.

"A bag and a black backpack were hidden behind the garbage container," she said.

According to neighbors, suspicious individuals regularly appear in the building at any time of day or night.

Residents recall instances when unknown individuals rang the doorbells deep into the night, as well as recount people whom they believe were under the influence of drugs.

The problem, as residents note, is not an isolated incident. After a period of relative calm, the situation has escalated again, causing many to fear for the safety of their families and property.

Residents claim that they have repeatedly contacted law enforcement and reported what is happening. The State Police have not yet provided detailed comments regarding the situation at this address.

While there are no official confirmations of the voiced suspicions, the residents themselves hope that the attention of law enforcement will help restore peace in the building.
