The body of a one-and-a-half-year-old baby was found in a freezer: a horrific story shocked the USA

In Arizona, police arrested a 31-year-old resident of Flagstaff who confessed to the death of her one-and-a-half-year-old son. According to media reports, the woman hid the child's body in a freezer after his death and kept it there for almost two weeks.

In the USA, a woman killed her one-and-a-half-year-old son in a fit of rage and then hid his body in a freezer for two weeks. This was reported by The People.

The incident occurred in Flagstaff, Arizona. According to the publication, 31-year-old Okhra Manakaya called emergency services on May 17, stating that her son was dead. In a conversation with the dispatcher, the woman explained that she had personally dealt with the baby.

Arriving at the scene, police officers discovered the child's body in the freezer. The woman recounted that on April 29, she had tried to put her son to sleep, but he did not fall asleep and cried loudly. In a fit of anger, she threw the baby into the crib. The boy survived but sustained serious injuries. His condition continued to deteriorate each day, yet Okhra did not seek medical help. On May 1, the American woman found her son dead in the crib.

"When she checked on him, he was lying on his back with his eyes closed and not breathing. In her opinion, the boy suffocated after morning vomiting. She wrapped her son's body in a blanket, covered it in plastic, sealed it with tape, and placed it in the freezer, where it remained for two weeks," the publication writes.

Police officers arrested the woman on charges of murder and concealing a body. On the same day, the court sent her to jail with the possibility of bail set at $1 million. According to court documents, Okhra has prior convictions, including for assault and drug possession. It is noted that she has two other sons, aged 7 and 9, who were not harmed.

In the opinion of the editorial team, this tragedy raises questions about the mental health of parents, timely social assistance, and the protection of children in families in crisis. Such cases shock not only due to the brutality of what happened but also because the tragedy went unnoticed for a long time.
