In Hurghada, during a snake charmer show at a hotel, a reptile bit a tourist from Germany, and he died, The Guardian reports citing German police.
It is reported that a German man came to Egypt from Bavaria with two relatives and went to see a snake show in the evening.
The snake charmer took two cobras and draped them around the necks of the spectators, then allowed one of the cobras to crawl into the tourist's pants, resulting in the reptile biting him on the leg. The tourist was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died.
The relatives of the deceased contacted the police in Southern Bavaria, who opened a criminal case; however, Egyptian authorities are reluctant to cooperate with German law enforcement, the publication notes.
