What are the dangers of photos from a phone gallery falling into the hands of scammers?
Perfectly photographed contracts, bank cards, and passports lying in a smartphone gallery interspersed with pictures of cats are a ticking time bomb. A phone can be lost, stolen, or hacked remotely. In this case, criminals get a complete set for their schemes.
"It is especially dangerous to keep selfies with your passport in the gallery - this is a ready-made set for confirming your identity," warns legal expert Amin Sokolovsky.
When asked what other documents should not be "shown" online alongside a passport, the expert responds categorically.
"First of all, you should not send driver’s licenses, passports, and any sources of information that can be used to obtain your data from primary and secondary documents," says the expert.
