Today in Daugavpils, at a railway crossing on Motoru Street, a passenger car was hit by a train, reports the LETA agency.
The train was approaching the station but was still moving at a fairly high speed; the car was seriously damaged after the collision.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital, while none of the passengers on the train were injured.
