A criminal process has been initiated regarding another student's death at the RTU hotel 0 6

The State Police's public relations department confirmed to the LETA agency that a body was found in the hotel premises.

A criminal process has been initiated regarding the incident, and an investigation into the circumstances of what happened is underway.

In June 2021, a tragic incident also occurred in this dormitory. Around 11:00 PM, a young man jumped or fell from one of the upper floors of the hotel. Locals found the body of the deceased young man in the grass. The police, who arrived at the scene, questioned the residents of the hotel and continue to investigate.

"In connection with the incident, a criminal process has been initiated under Article 13 of the Criminal Law. An investigation is currently underway; however, the information available at this time does not indicate that a crime has been committed," the police stated.

According to the police, the young man fell from the ninth floor.

Representatives of RTU confirmed that the young man was a student, expressed condolences to the deceased's relatives, but declined to provide further comments due to the ongoing criminal process.
