In Daugavpils, a group of young people in a state of alcohol intoxication began to damage the environment and will now have to answer for their actions.
One of the teenagers, presumably after consuming alcoholic beverages, began to overturn garbage containers and then started hitting an electrical distribution cabinet, reports the show Degpunktā (TV3).
Upon witnessing the acts of vandalism, a crew from the municipal police of Daugavpils arrived at the scene. Their task was to stop the hooligan actions and check the health condition of the young people in connection with alcohol consumption.
"It should be noted that the very young man who was the most active and committed hooligan acts in the city center made a great effort to escape from the municipal police representatives, but was apprehended. The young people, who were in a state of intoxication, will be held accountable in accordance with the second part of Article 77 of the Law on the Protection of the Rights of Children, which provides for a warning or a monetary fine of up to three penalty units," said Andris Dunski, a representative of the Daugavpils municipal police.
