BMW driver got into an accident and put forward an unexpected version of what happened 0 9

The man himself does not understand why, as he approached the intersection, he did not press the brake pedal and crashed into the cars standing ahead. The damage to the vehicles is significant; however, fortunately, none of the participants in the accident were injured, reports the show Degpunktā (TV3).

This is one of those cases where the popular saying fits: "if the 'beha' is flying, then there's no need to walk here" (ja “beha” lido, tad nevajag te staigāt). In this case, it should rather be rephrased — there's no need to stand here. The BMW driver, without slowing down, crashed into the cars that were standing at the intersection and pushed them onto the dividing line.

"We were standing here, waiting to turn left, and — boom! The BMW driver crashed into the 'Toyota', and the 'Toyota' crashed into us. We feel fine, everything is okay — the airbags didn't even deploy. First accident. Unpleasant, I wouldn't recommend it," said the 'Bolt Drive' driver Klavs.

Journalists from Degpunktā also spoke with the BMW driver. He looked confused and admitted that he does not understand how a trip to work could end this way:

"(DP: Are you the BMW driver?) Yes, former. (DP: How did it happen — you didn't notice?) Honestly, I don’t understand how. Difficult situation. (DP: Maybe you dozed off?) I don’t understand what happened…"

Like the 'Peugeot' and 'Toyota', the BMW also wanted to turn left at the intersection. There are many versions of what could have happened. The man himself admits that he may have felt unwell or his glasses let him down:

"I broke two pairs of glasses from 'Vision Express'. I put on my old ones. Maybe it was hard to see."

There were no injuries in the accident, and as noted by the State Police, none of the three drivers were in a state of alcohol intoxication.
