Who is this guy? The store owner in Rezekne wants him to answer for his actions

Last weekend, a clothing store in Rezekne experienced an attempted theft. The burglar broke the glass of the front door and did not go further, leaving the scene. It is unknown why the attempt to break in was interrupted; however, if he had continued with his plan, security would not have arrived at all.

The store's cameras captured an indecisive burglar — at night, after breaking the glass of the front door, he stood at the entrance for some time, contemplating whether to enter, reports the Degpunktā program (TV3).

The owner, Andris, only learned about the incident the next morning, as it was the first night in a year that an employee forgot to turn on the alarm after finishing her shift. Neighbors informed him about what had happened, and it was only in the morning that he was able to inspect the crime scene.

Unfortunately, Andris's camera recorded only a short 10-second clip, so video footage from neighbors was requested to understand where the man went. It became clear that he indeed changed his mind and left after breaking the glass.

Andris believes that if the burglar had gone through with his plan, he could have almost completely robbed the store, as security would not have arrived. Currently, the only losses are the broken glass and a sticker with markings, which together cost over 300 euros. The glass in the door is double, and the owner finds it hard to believe that such damage could have been caused by a knee or foot. There are already theories about the identity of the culprit, but Andris is cautious and has not named any specific names yet.

The owner maintains regular contact with law enforcement and is not sitting idly by. A video has already been posted on Andris's Facebook account, which has garnered many views, in which he talks about the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward. There is a high likelihood that the culprit has already watched this video as well.

Andris calls for not only witnesses to respond but also the burglar himself — not to take revenge, but to settle accounts. It would be much easier for the owner if the perpetrator transferred him the money and paid for the installation of the new glass in the front door.
