In the last 24 hours, four drivers have been detained for driving under the influence on Latvian roads, the State Police reported to the LETA agency.
One administrative process and three criminal cases have been initiated for driving a vehicle while intoxicated. Vehicle confiscation will be applied in two cases.
In the past 24 hours, 183 speed violations have also been recorded on Latvian roads.
Additionally, one driver in the Riga region was penalized for aggressive driving behavior.
A total of 452 administrative offense rulings were issued in the traffic sector over the past 24 hours.
