An American shot a 21-year-old Ukrainian refugee and her boyfriend.
A 21-year-old Ukrainian refugee, Ekaterina Tovmash, was shot in the USA. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Strana.ua" citing the girl's brother.
The murder is suspected to have been committed by Tovmash's ex-boyfriend, 25-year-old American Caleb Hayden Fosno. He traveled to Ekaterina's home in North Carolina from Ohio and broke in, threatening with a firearm. In the house, besides Tovmash, were her younger siblings and her new boyfriend.
The girl's brother stated that Fosno shot Ekaterina and her boyfriend in bed while they were sleeping. He then left the crime scene but was soon apprehended. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
On September 6, a 23-year-old citizen of Ukraine was killed in the American state of North Carolina. The crime occurred late in the evening on the light rail in the city of Charlotte (according to other sources — in the subway) and was captured on surveillance cameras. The suspect turned out to be Dekarlos Brown Jr., who had previously been convicted of theft, robbery, and possession of a weapon. The police arrested him immediately after the attack.
