On Friday, from 6 AM to 4 PM, 160 traffic accidents were registered in Latvia, which is significantly higher than the average on weekdays.
According to the State Police, five traffic accidents with injuries have been registered, four of which occurred in the Riga region. The highest number of accidents without injuries - 86 - also took place in the Riga region.
The number of accidents is higher than on days when it does not snow. On average, the police register about 100 accidents per day without snowfall.
According to forecasts, snowfall will continue in Latvia on the night of Saturday.
