More than 20 teenagers were beaten and held in a rehabilitation center in the Moscow region. One of the children is in a coma.
According to "Baza", everything happened in Dedovsk (near the city of Istra) at the rehabilitation center of Anna Kobotova. The 29-year-old administrator Vitaly Balabrikov (in the photo) and his colleagues organized an illegal rehabilitation center for troubled teenagers from August to November 2025.
According to the investigation, 24 children were admitted, all undergoing treatment for addictions. According to the agreement, psychologists were supposed to work with the children, but in reality, the wards of the center were brutally beaten and tortured.
After the "educational" process, one of the wards of the center, a 16-year-old boy, was hospitalized in serious condition. Doctors recorded multiple bruises and abrasions on his body, signs of binding, and he is currently in a coma. Doctors reported the teenager to the police.
According to the Moscow region Investigative Committee, the administrator Vitaly and one of the wards of the center, an 18-year-old girl who participated in the torture of the teenagers, have been identified. The man has been arrested, and a preventive measure for the girl will be chosen later. A criminal case has been initiated under articles on intentional infliction of serious harm to health, torture, and illegal deprivation of liberty.
One of the educators held the defense until the last moment and tried not to let the law enforcement officers in. The police had to break down the door with a sledgehammer. The windows in the house were covered with black film from the inside. During the "treatment" period, children were not allowed outside, and the center's activities were hidden in every possible way.
According to "Baza", the staff of the torture rehab exerted psychological pressure on the parents of their wards. People were forbidden to ask children about their condition and a special manual was created for this purpose.
As Alla, the mother of one of the girls from the rehab, told "Baza", the center's staff distributed a manual among the parents with recommendations on what should not be discussed with the children. The most banal questions were prohibited — it was not allowed to ask the children about their mood. In response to the relatives' outrage, the staff explained that such measures were necessary for rehabilitation, so as not to distract the children from their activities. People were frightened that in such a case, the child's recovery was in question and it would be better to isolate them from the outside world.
The woman explained that her 16-year-old daughter had a behavioral disorder. The girl spent only two months in the "treatment facility", but that was enough. According to the mother, the child now faces long and expensive treatment with psychologists. Although even two months in rehab was not a cheap service – 300,000 rubles (3000 EUR). But the institution did not issue any receipts. The center of Anna Kobotova specializes in helping difficult children. Among the services offered by the institution are programs for treating substance abuse, gambling addiction, adolescent alcoholism, and deviant behavior.
